State of Scifi Review

So here we are, its almost November already. You might have noticed I basically walked away from the site and even more so the YouTube channel back in May. I’m only now getting back in the saddle so to speak, and yeah, I’m gonna make more and better videos.

Let’s just say life throws you curve balls you don’t expect. You find yourself unable to do stuff you were able to easily do before. I’m not going to get into great detail about what happened, but lets just say I’m working on being the best version of myself I can be, MCU style. I’m trying to be the person I actually am, not the person I’m supposed to be, or other people think I should be. For plenty of different reasons.

TL;DR Things happened, I needed a break from basically all of it, for personal reasons, and I’m back. Like SFR 2.0 or something. I’m not giving up on this one. If there’s anything that’s an integral part of who I am, its my undying love for Science Fiction in moving pictures.

Oh, and “Trailer Tuesdays” was a horrible idea. Besides having to rework those videos multiple times to get rid of copyright strikes that made the videos un-playable by YouTube, it just wasn’t worth the hassle, and I’m pretty sure YouTube is penalizing the entire channel for two videos full of copyright claims. If someone knows HOW I can get the proper permissions or whatever from the studios so that this doesn’t happen, I’m all ears. I’d love to give you the latest scifi trailers every week, but I don’t think I can do it at this time. Hopefully that changes. I’m gonna leave those two up, though, just to see what happens with them.

So. starting now, You’ll see at least one post per day, and hopefully a couple three videos or even more a week. If you don’t, start giving me hell about it. Complain, call me names, call me out. Just do it.

Thanks to everyone who’s watched my videos on YouTube, and read the reviews here. Your attention has not gone unnoticed and I’d really like your feedback on what I’m doing right, and what’s wrong (besides the vacation I mean.) Any ideas that might help the channel gain a little more momentum would be great.

Don’t forget I’m on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram (yeah its blank, not sure how that’s gonna work yet) … and join up to the Scifi Review Discord server if you just wanna hang out and talk scifi.
